Information we handle
We handle three main categories of information:
- Website and support information. This includes information you submit, such as your name, email address, company, website, store URL, and message.
- Shopify merchant and store information. This includes the shop domain, Shopify session and authorization data, and app setup status. When Shopify provides them, a session can include the installing administrator's identifier, name, email address, locale, and account role.
- Shopify storefront activity. When Shopify indicates analytics processing is allowed, the web pixel sends standard event names, event and client or session identifiers, timestamps, the page URL, and the referring URL. Our server derives a normalized page path, country, and daily pseudonymous visitor identifier from request context. We do not store the raw IP address in Shopify storefront event records.
The Shopify app does not intentionally collect customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, order contents, or monetary values through its web pixel. It does not request Shopify's protected customer name, email, phone, address, or personal-data scopes.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate merchants, provision and monitor the Shopify web pixel, report whether the theme app embed is enabled, show 30-day aggregate event counts, operate storefront integrations, provide support, maintain security, and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data.
Consent
The ConvertFlux Shopify web pixel is configured for analytics permission and follows Shopify's customer privacy settings. Storefront events are sent to ConvertFlux only when Shopify indicates that analytics processing is permitted.
Merchants remain responsible for configuring their Shopify customer privacy settings and notices as required for their store.
Website analytics
Google Analytics 4 is enabled by default on website pages outside our interactive demo to help us understand site usage, including pages visited, referral sources, browser and device information, and engagement. This information is sent to Google for measurement and reporting.
We do not send contact-form contents, names, email addresses, or phone numbers to Google Analytics. You can turn website analytics off for the current visit or back on through Privacy preferences in the site footer. That choice is not saved, so analytics return to the default on your next visit.
Retention and deletion
90 days
Raw Shopify storefront event records and records containing storefront session identifiers are retained for up to 90 days.
24 months
Daily aggregate analytics are retained for up to 24 months.
Support records are retained only as long as needed to provide support and meet legal obligations.
Uninstalling the Shopify app revokes the integration and starts Shopify's required deletion workflow. We process Shopify's customer data request, customer redaction, and shop redaction webhooks. Shop-linked storefront analytics and app records are deleted when Shopify sends the applicable deletion request, subject to limited legal retention obligations.
Service providers
We share information with service providers that help us host, secure, monitor, support, and measure use of ConvertFlux, including Google Analytics for website analytics, and with authorities when required by law. Providers receive information needed to perform their services.
We do not share Shopify storefront data for independent advertising.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted network connections, and operational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices and requests
Website analytics are enabled by default. You can turn them off for the current visit or back on through Privacy preferences in the site footer. Your choice is not saved and resets on your next visit. Shopify customers should normally contact the merchant whose store they used.
Merchants and other individuals can ask about access, correction, deletion, or other privacy rights by emailing us. We may need information to verify and route a request.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the updated date on this page.
